Abra Kadabra is spending Earth Day 2023 completing a Highway cleanup for our adopted highway.
In 2021 we adopted Hwy 41 from Hwy 5 to Pioneer Trail. Cleanup occurs twice annually, along both sides of the roadway.
We at Abra Kadabra want to ensure our magic does not negatively impact the environment. On the job, this takes the form of Integrated Pest Management practices, and eco-friendly product usage. Off the job, this means going the extra mile to help preserve our beautiful cities for generations to come. Each cleanup, members of our team volunteer to participate in this initiative alongside our community partners. This year’s partner is the Chanhassen Rotary Club.
If you are interested in joining our team for this effort, the community is always welcome. We do require volunteers to be 12 years old or older, and to wear a reflective vest for safety. Trash bags and vests are provided by Adopt a Highway, but we recommend bringing gloves if you choose to participate. Contact us here for information or to register to help.
Abra Kadabra also had a 2022 Earth Day event held at Surfside Beach in Mound. The cleanup event was conducted in partnership with Joey Nova’s Pizzeria, the City of Mound, the Chanhassen Rotary Club, and the Excelsior BNI group.
