COCKROACHES

Here’s another pest that can send chills down your spine. Even the song La Cucaracha (Spanish for cockroach) tells a tale of woe and hardship. There is nothing pretty about the description of cockroaches and the unsanitary consequences of harboring these disgusting insects. They are typically detected by their damage or by fecal matter. They prefer damp places such as sewers, garbage disposals, or bathrooms and can produce a significant level of odor from their secretions when populations are high. They lay eggs in bunches of up to 48 eggs. Left to their own devices, they are natural survivors, even capable of eating glues and pastes!

Cockroaches spread filth and germs from the unsanitary places they frequent. The first phase of treatment is sanitation. These efforts should include elimination of food, moisture and harborage areas available for the cockroach population. Removing their food source will stress the population as well as increase the efficacy of the bait that has been set out. Abra Kadabra’s staff is well trained to track these pests and place effective bait stations in the proper locations.
