Purify Yourself In The Waters Of Lake Minnetonka

The Polar Plunge is an annual fundraiser supporting Special Olympics Minnesota. Registrants raise money for the cause, pledging to jump into the frozen lake at the end. A large hole in the ice is created, allowing teams and individuals to jump in together… then make a beeline back to the warming tent. Abra Kadabra is passionate about creating awareness for this cause, and helping disabled athletes live their dreams and compete at the highest level.

This event is held annually at Surfside Beach in Mound. It is popular with local families, seeing hundreds of people attend each year. Results from previous year’s events are linked below. Last year’s event raised $54,889 for Minnesota athletes.

Abra Kadabra has had great team turnout the last couple years, allowing us to make an impact and interact with the community. This year’s Abra team consists of Matt Eickman, Erica Sykora, Max Frederiksen, Jason Hufnagle, and Josh Boyda. They have set a team goal of $3600 for the January 2023 Plunge.
