Animal Proofing Technician Apprentice

About the Role

Abra Kadabra Environmental Services is looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to join our growing team as an Exclusion Technician Apprentice. In this role, you’ll learn how to safely seal homes and structures to prevent animals from getting inside. You’ll work outdoors, on ladders, and in tight spaces like attics and crawl spaces—perfect for someone who enjoys physical work and problem-solving. We provide all training; you bring the work ethic and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with sealing entry points on homes and buildings
  • Work on roofs, ladders, in crawl spaces, and attics
  • Support trapping and removal efforts led by senior technicians
  • Communicate clearly with team members and customers
  • Learn to identify and fix areas vulnerable to animal entry
  • Rotate weekend on-call duty as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Enjoys hands-on, physical work and working outdoors
  • Comfortable on ladders and in tight spaces
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Basic hand tool or construction experience preferred
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Must pass a drug test and a 7-year felony background check

Position Overview

Are you a skilled sales professional with a passion for connecting with clients? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to learn about the pest and wildlife industry? Join us as a Pest and Wildlife Sales Representative in this exciting on-site inspector/salesman role. No cold calls involved – all site visits are scheduled by the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Use your sales skills to engage with customers during on-site visits and educate them on services (annual pest control contracts, animal proofing/removal, attic insulation)
  • Collaborate with customers to understand needs and offer tailored solutions
  • Perform on-site inspections that may require climbing ladders and entering attic spaces
  • Close contracts while meeting/exceeding sales targets
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, track progress, and provide regular reports to the sales manager

Qualifications

  • Proven sales success and ability to connect with customers
  • Willingness to learn the pest/wildlife industry and perform physical tasks (ladders/attics)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-driven, able to work independently, and manage time efficiently
