One-Time Mouse Control Services

Non-Recurring Mouse Service

Non-Recurring Mouse Management

Abra Kadabra Environmental Services does offer non-recurring mouse service options. Without some combination of ongoing exterior control, exclusion work, pheromone removal or deterrents, however, there is a high degree of likelihood that re-entry will occur again in the future.

Trapping Package

This service consists of 5 home visits during a 2 week period. Commercial baits, lures and attractants will be strategically applied to our trap sets to ensure the greatest number of mice are caught quickly and humanely. Technicians are able to provide a high level of service by actively confirming elimination and physical removal of the mice.

Initial Setup:

  • Inspection of the home interior and exterior with identification of areas of activity. Recommendations will be given to the homeowner to aid in decreasing rodent harborage, habitat or foraging, as well as disinfection recommendations for areas where mouse pheromones, droppings, nesting, refuse or other damage may exist.
  • Placement of 20-40 traps in areas of high activity, along travel paths, and at entry points to target current population and prevent new incursions.
Follow up trap checks:
  • Technicians will return 4 times to report and dispose of any catches, removing the traps during the final trap check. In instances of heavy infestation, extensions are availablefor purchase.

Rodenticide

This is the more passive approach, but also carries a lower price tag and fewer home visits than a trapping program. Mice expire 3-4 days after eating bait, and may be inside or outside when this occurs. Odor may persist for 1-2 weeks after elimination, and there is the possibility of having to throw away a dead mouse.
Initial service:
  • Inspection of the home interior and exterior with identification of areas of activity. Recommendations will be given to the homeowner to aid in decreasing rodent harborage, habitat or foraging, as well as disinfection recommendations for areas where mouse pheromones, droppings, nesting, refuse or other damage may exist.
  • Placement of 12-18 tamper-resistant rodent control devices in areas of high activity, along travel paths, and outside entry points to target the current population and prevent new incursions of healthy mice. Bait blocks are placed within locked bait stations to ensure children and pets cannot access them.
30 day follow up:
  • Bait stations on interior checked and refilled/ relocated as necessary
  • Exterior bait stations removed at this time or additional stations added if the client prefers conversion to an exterior rodent management service
