A note on the Abra Kadabra philosophy: We employ and continually train expert pest and wildlife control technicians. We believe in educating and empowering not only our technicians, but also our office staff, as this ultimately benefits our customers. Our staff are all trained to be able to communicate knowledgeably on industry topics, and occasionally obtain certifications towards this end. When you speak with our office, we want you to know you are getting good information from someone with knowledge, and when they don’t know they have the right experts on hand to ask. Our office staff being able to do this frees up our technicians to do their work, see more clients, and keep costs down. Once your service has been scheduled, you will have a direct line of communication open with both the office and your technician, enabling you to ask questions and get assistance in whatever way is most convenient for you. This is the Abra Kadabra difference.
Erica is our Executive Assistant, and has a BS in Psychology from Ashford University. Erica came to us after spending 10+ years working in human services and social work. She is passionate about foster care and helping people less fortunate than herself. She enjoys spending time with her 6 children and attending their various sporting events. Erica is Matt’s sister-in-law, and the daughter of the company’s founder. Erica and her sister Monica were responsible for the creation of the company name in the early 2000’s. Erica has seen Abra Kadabra grow since before its inception and is excited to help take it to the next level.
Andrea is one of our rockstar admins. She joined us in the summer of 2021, and was able to single handedly keep things afloat when personnel were out. Her father is a retiree of the US Air Force, so Andrea grew up moving all over the world. She loves to go fishing, exploring, traveling, skating, reading and spending time with her family.
Ashley is our Office Manager and newest admin, though she is far from new to the company. Ashley used to help her father, Mike, when he operated the business. She has a BS in Corrections from MSU Mankato, and returns to Abra Kadabra after 8 years at the VOA, where she most recently served as Director for Case Managers. Ashley enjoys playing soccer, time spent with her husband and kids, and vacationing.
Kacey was Abra Kadabra’s first admin, and currently serves as its Marketing Director. Along the journey Kacey has been an office admin, a content writer, HR representative, and other positions. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from The University of Minnesota (2011), and is an Army veteran. She enjoys time spent with her daughters, the outdoors, reading and gaming.

Matt is owner and CEO of Abra Kadabra. He is a graduate of Hamline University, where he majored in both Exercise Sports Science and Biology (Cum Laude), and minoring in coaching. He captained the baseball team and still participates in their annual reunion game. Matt has a passion for providing opportunity wherever he can, and is proud to be able to use his business to help local communities. In his spare time, Matt likes spending quality time with his family, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling.
