Bat FAQ's

Your Bat Control & Exclusion Partner

How do I keep bats out of my attic?

Go over your home with a fine-toothed comb everywhere from 18 inches off the ground to the top of your chimney. You’re looking for any gaps bigger than ¼ of an inch. Some spots to pay attention to include: areas where shingles touch a soffit, gutter or gable and places where two building materials transition into one another. Corners, edges and vents are also worth a close look. Attic vents in particular are very susceptible to gaps so make sure each one has a preventative exclusion over the top of it. You’ll also want to keep your eye out for broken or missing shingles, old woodpecker holes and broken bricks. All of these can serve as entry points for bats.

Does that sound like a whole lot of work? Abra Kadabra can help. We’ll come out, inspect your home and create a plan of action to keep bats from setting up camp in your attic.
