Theyโre looking for the biggest meal possible and, unfortunately for us, mosquitoes donโt fit the bill from a calorie density standpoint. In fact, though many people assume that bats consume a lot of mosquitoes, thatโs simply not true. Research has shown only 1-3 percent of a batโs overall diet comes from mosquitoes, and with the number of these pests flying around in Minnesota, bats are barely making a dent in their population.ย
