Hibernation isn’t just for bears – wasps do it, too. In residential areas, they’ll get into attic spaces, soffit areas and anywhere there is a large enough gap or crack for them to gain access. They’re seeking out those ambient temperatures that will be warm enough to sustain them through the winter. In nature, they’re likely to hunker down in hollow trees and stumps and underneath rocks while they wait out the colder weather.
